Complete Hub Motor Kit Contents

Each EVsolutions Brushless Hub Motor Kit comes with the following:

Standard Motor Kit Package: Brushless Hub Motor Battery Bag Throttle (you choose Thumb or Half Twist Grip) Controller 20A X 36-72V E-Brake Battery Cable Power Key Switch Fuse, Fuse Holder and Battery Harness

You Choose

• Motor Model
• wheel diameter in 16—20—24—26 or 700c

Rear Motors need a Freewheel
Choices are:

• 1,5,6 or 7 Speed Freewheel
  

Disc Brakes can be added upon request

Motor Models Available are:

• Model 405, 406, 407, 408, 4012

Motor Kits are now using Anderson Power Pole Connectors

Options

Note: the 72 Volt Controller allows you to use 36V—48V—60V or 72V of Battery Power

The 25A Controller is good for Distance and the 40A Controller is best for Hill Climbing Torque.

Disc Brakes can only be used if your Bike or Bent is equipped with a Caliper Mounting Plate. V-Brakes are a good choice, if you need strong  stopping power use Hydraulic Rim Brakes.

Spokes and rims

These Rear Motors are sold WITHOUT Rims but 14 gauge spokes are included. IF you prefer the Motor to arrive with the Rim Attached, we use Sun Rhyno-Lite or ALEX Double Wall Rims.

Ideally a Bike Shop should be used to properly True and Align your rear wheel and since you are using a Bike Shop, it makes sense for that Bike Shop to install the Hub Motor in the Rim YOU choose. This is why some customers prefer to receive the Hub Motor without the Rim.

Batteries

Customers pick their own Battery Chemistry. EVsolutions is the Canadian Distributor for LifeBatt LIFEPO4 but we can order Ni-CD for you from our supplier.

We have stopped selling or recommending Lead Acid Batteries. They are too heavy, have a short life span and need to be put on a Charger immediately after every ride. Lead Acid Batteries are increasing in price every year and Ni-CD and Ni-MH are a better choice.

Front Wheel Hub Motors

EVsolutions has decided that with the introduction of the new eZee Front Wheel Hub Motors that we will no longer sell the Crystalyte Hub Motors for Front Wheel use.

The eZee Hub Motors have a Planetary Gear system built in that provides awesome Torque and this makes using a Crystalyte Front Hub motor for Hill Climbing or Towing a Trailer unnecessary. The eZee Hub Motor can move you at 20 MPH on 36V in a 26” Wheel and 25 MPH on 48V in a 26” Wheel.

These eZee Hub Motors come already laced into 26” and 700c Rims, tube and tire is included.

The eZee Hub Motor comes with an 8 inch Disc Brake Rotor. If you have V-Brakes just ignore the Rotor.

The 36V Controller is Waterproof and under a full 2 Year Warranty.

For 48V operation you will have to use a Crystalyte Controller.
